Dry skin and cracked skin are far susceptible to negative reactions like
contact dermatitis. However, it is very important to prevent dry skin, namely
through the use of moisturizers.

The easiest way to avoid contact dermatitis is simply by avoiding the substance
in the future. Some of the common irritants are additives in common products or
are natural parts of certain jobs, in that case proper preventive measures will
be the best option.

The steroid creams are very good at reducing inflammation on irritated areas of
the skin. This can be of varying strengths, and often work for years, but it
isn’t a permanent solution. Eventually, this sorts of irritated areas become
more resistant to steroids, requiring stronger dose, which may have other side
effects.
